Overall impact ratings assess impact on causes that are "material" to a company's industry.
For example, the energy industry has a larger impact on causes like Climate Action and Sustainable Resource Use than many other industries, so we consider these causes "material" for the energy industry and include them in an energy company's overall impact rating.
An overall impact rating for a fund represents the weighted-average overall impact scores of companies held by the fund.
